Description : The Asian Emerald Cuckoo is a small bird whose male differs from the female (adult bird length approximately 18 cm, wing 11 cm, bill 1.5 cm, tarsus 1.5 cm, tail 6.7 cm). The male has uniform bright emerald-green upperparts, chin, throat and upper breast. It feeds on flying insects, caterpillars and other soft-bodied bugs. It often calls to one another while flying. It breeds in April-July.
