Description : Overall dark brown, forewing has bright yellow spots. Hindwing is brownish white. Underside of the forewing is grey, with the posterior margin pale brown with yellow spots. Both the male and female of this species exhibit a rich, dark chocolate brown coloration. Their forewings are adorned with bright yellow semi-transparent quadrate spots, arranged in a triangular pattern. The first spot is notably large and covers half the cell, followed by a similarly large spot positioned obliquely beneath it and partly extending beyond. The third spot is smaller and positioned obliquely above the second. Above the last spot, there are three smaller spots arranged obliquely before the apex, with the two upper ones appearing paired. Some specimens may display a small dot below the subapical spots and another on the posterior margin, both resembling the rest of the pattern. The cilia at the posterior angle of the forewing are brownish-white, while the hindwing exhibits brownish-white cilia at the anterior angle. On the underside, the forewing shows sprinkled grey scales near the apex, with a pale brownish-white posterior margin and yellow spots as observed on the upper side. The hindwing also displays bands of grey scales in a series across its surface.
