Description : Spinner dolphins are relatively small compared to other dolphin species, with adult males typically measuring up to 2.1 meters (7 feet) in length and weighing up to 80 kg (175 lbs), while adult females are slightly smaller.

They have a sleek, streamlined body that is typically dark gray or black on the back and sides, with a lighter belly. They have a long, thin beak and a dorsal fin that is relatively small and curved.

Spinner dolphins are opportunistic feeders and prey on a variety of fish, squid, and crustaceans.

They are social animals and often form groups of up to several hundred individuals, although smaller groups are more common. They are known for their acrobatic displays, which include spinning and leaping out of the water.

Spinner dolphins are found in warm, offshore waters around the world, including in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.

Spinner dolphins are considered a species of least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), although they are vulnerable to accidental entanglement in fishing gear and habitat loss due to coastal development. In some areas, they are also hunted for their meat.
