Description : Javan rhinoceroses are smaller than their African counterparts, with males weighing between 900 and 2,300 kg (2,000 to 5,000 pounds) and females weighing between 900 and 1,400 kg (2,000 to 3,100 pounds.

They have a single horn on their nose, which can grow up to 25 cm (10 inches) long. Their skin is gray and they have folds in their skin, which make them look like they are wearing armor.

Javan rhinoceroses are herbivores and primarily eat leaves, shoots, and fruits of plants.

Javan rhinoceroses are solitary animals and only come together during breeding season. They are also very secretive and difficult to spot in the wild.

Javan rhinoceroses are found in tropical rainforests and swamps in Java and Sumatra.

The Javan rhinoceros is one of the rarest large mammals in the world, with an estimated population of only 58 individuals. They are classified as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), primarily due to habitat loss and poaching for their horns.
